Even if that's true, I don't think that's necessarily a positive thing.
Also, let it be clear that death has two definitions; the act of dying and the state of being dead. I don't think any atheists are afraid of the latter, only the act of dying is scary as it terminates the life they so value.
It is quite scary that many Muslims do not seem to value life as much, an example is when a suicide bomber said (paraphrasing) that to him, death is more valuable than the lives of all he would kill.
Disclaimer; I know most Muslims do not act and view the world in this way and the extremists are a minority. The great majority of Muslims, I'm sure including you, are perfectly good people. I am merely concerned about what the Islamic faith can lead people to do.
