All I can think is how much it would hurt me if a man I loved and trusted tortured and murdered my rapist. I've already been violated and traumatized, nothing anyone does will take that away. Now you go off and torture and murder someone. When I thought you were safe, you prove yourself a monster? Can you not see how this might only further the pain and suffering of the victim?
Obviously this should always be illegal. Morally...I think the line is far too grey to decide. At the very least ask the victim if this is what he/she wants first.
