There are three scary things about accepting evolution.

1) No Lord almighty is needed.

2) We and our brethren, the great apes, evolved from the same ape ancestor. That seriously hurts the ego of most.

3) That might only apply to the most bigotted of them, but we all came from Africa and were probably black at some time in our ancestry.
