The work of the Holy Spirit through those who knew Jesus, the conviction of the Holy Spirit is powerful but, not forceful, on the hearts of man. Many gave up their pagan gods that never spoke to them in their hearts, when the Holy Spirit did they realized they had met the one true God.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
