Now: Philae separation from Rosetta, waiting for confirmation
#20
RE: Now: Philae separation from Rosetta, waiting for confirmation
It landed, then bounced.. in the air (vacuum?) for 2 hours, landed, bounced again then landed again. It is in the shadow of a rock so not enough light is falling on the solar panels, when the battery dies that's it. The pictures show what looks like rock rather than snow, if it had been snow it wouldn't have bounced so high.
The meek shall inherit the Earth, the rest of us will fly to the stars.

Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups

Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in mud ..... after a while you realise that the pig likes it!
