"I'm a spiritual person (spiritual atheist, that is), pacifist, and I love nature. Anyone have any input on this? Any other hippies?"
As for myself, I am very much an atheist but also have a strong sense of the "sacred" or "numinous", for want of better terms. I am not a fan of war (although I do acknowledge its pragmatic necessity at times). Being around nature is a natural mood-booster.
I am quite into some of Epicurus and Epicurean philosophy, which some have said has a bit of a hippie flavour, in addition to a bit of Stoic philosophy.
