Cannabis is still illegal in England, after a period of decriminalisation under Tony Blair (while remaining illegal) it was recriminalised under Labour PM Gordon Brown, and remains criminalised under Conservative PM David Cameron.
I do hope England follows the progressive model and first of all considers legalising cannabis for medical uses, and finally for recreational use too as something taxable along the lines of alcohol and tobacco.
