I believe God put the tree there as a test. God would have known as he is all-knowning. However Adam and Eve were not all-knowing they didn't know what the outcome was until they took the fruit.

So how is it a test, if the only person who knew it's a test already knew the answer? The purpose of a test is to come to an answer, after all. And why bother with the test? What did Adam and Eve gain from it, since they were the only ones not in the know? To be clear, the knowledge of sin is only needed if sin exists, which it wouldn't if god hadn't created it as part of a test that he already knew the answer to.

The only possible way this "test" would even need to exist is if the test already exists, in the end. Your answer here is totally circular and nonsensical.
