I can't remember being tought anything about the end of the world. At least not explicitly. There obviously was some religious talk about judgment day and the good people rising to be with Jesus. Must have been, since I remember finding that pretty fucked up. I didn't want to lie around in some grave for quite some time when I was a child. So, using the same example, there wasn't any end of days talk. But I was a Roman Catholic back then and they are pretty relaxed when it comes to the end times stuff. Not in any way looking forward to it like the evagelicals do. And certainly not seeing the apocalyptic riders on the horizon every time someone rips a loud fart.
In 3.5 billion years, the world will definetely end, since the sun will roast it along with everything still crawling on it's surface.

It gets a change of management.
