Here's an article where a guy slows him down 80% and explains why. Interestingly, the implications make reproducing the songs much more possible in the case of positioning the capo on the neck. In some cases the capo would need to be set so high up on the neck it would leave no room for the tonal range accomplished by RJ, you run out of neck and fret.

I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
