Christ died on the cross after healing a multitude of afflicted; those actions scream of His love for us.
I have never heard of anyone saying that that they fully understand gravity, but I've never met any reasonable person that doesn't trust gravity.
I mean if I step off the ledge of a 20 story building I trust fully that it's 9.8 straight down.....splat. Even my kid knows that.
