I wouldn't call atheists so much 'blind' as 'not deluded.'
We don't see certain things because they're not there. They never were.
The difference between people see god in the world and the people who don't (read: us) is because we don't delude ourselves by assuming god is there. We demand proof. Evidence.
And every "theory" that involves god always involves some impact on the world that would have evidence when there is none and never has been any.
