Buddhism, like every single thing you can imagine that involves people who aren't brain-dead, has many PoV's (the religion-specific term is "denomination"). Yes, some worship their leaders as gods. Those are a minority. Buddhism, in its original and most common state, is atheistic in nature. It has no gods, but it does have supernatural elements, hence being an atheistic religion.
The truth is absolute. Life forms are specks of specks (...) of specks of dust in the universe.
Why settle for normal, when you can be so much more? Why settle for something, when you can have everything?
