If you had a factory in the US paying people $35.00 per hour as a union worker slamming in part 'A' into Part 'B' on an assemble line for an Auto maker, and had to have a min order of 10,000 peices @ $400.00 per Part a/b assembly to show a profit.
And I had a factory in China who did the SAME EXACT Thing, but I could pay my people 5 dollars aday, and subdize the rest with living space and food which costs me 10 dollars a month per family. That would mean I could do a much smaller production run to show the same profit even if a charged much much less.
As a point in fact why do you think ALL US Manufactures have moved to places like mexico and China? In truth it is for this very reason. So to say lowest bidder doesn't mean slavery speaks foolishly to the exception and not the rule.
Quote:- but otherwise you absolutely have a point. Many things which we use, depend on, or purchase are products of exploitative interactions.EVERYTHING you have is a product of Slavery. Until robotics can be used more cost effectivly than slaves then know you directly benfit from slaves, therefore you are paying coperations to keep unregulated slaves on your behalf.
Quote:Some things we can opt out of, some things we cant. Some things we know about (some we don't).It does not change anything. Because bottom line as a consumer in a consumer soceity, Price will always be the deciding factor as to whether or not a product is purchased or not. as such the cheapest will always sell first, that means reducing production cost is the only way for a company to make money. The most cost effective way of doing this is reducing labor costs. This ultimatly = Slavery.
Quote:Some things...a few here and there, aren't part or privy to this at all.Examples? Know even if you can name a few.. their 'parts'/supplies may assemble their componets in a slave nation.
Quote:(I buy alot of shit custom, at ludicrous price- but I have an uncommon profession). "Modern life" could, can, and does exist without slaves.

Again why do you think ALL Of Western Manufacturing of ALL Modern Life has moved to slave countries?
Quote:Nothing has "slave labor" as an non-negotiable input. We can't control the actions of others, oceans away (hell, even next door).Indeed, so welcome to the "Dark side." Remember I am not the one saying we can or have to live without slavery. I am simply saying call a spade a spade and regulate slavery as God would have us do.
Quote:The best we can do is deal with those situations as they arise...and yes.. we may have already bought their product before they come to our attention. We're human, it happens. That's the thing Far fewer 'situations' come up Because douche bags keep pretending that they do not endorse slavery in our modern era.
If people like you would acknoweledge their role in slavery. Slave owners could be held to account. As it is they for the most part do what they want.
