Then you too my friend are a contributor to the modern slave trade, like it or not. why? Because again modern life/city life is not possible without slaves.
Calling sweatshop conditions deplorable is one thing, but comparing it to slavery of old shows a lack of understanding of what true slavery entails. Accusing people of supporting slavery because we buy out-of-season fruit and electronics is asinine. Is it supporting poor working conditions? You betcha. Slavery? Nope.
If you want to see a modern example of actual slavery, take a look at human trafficking. People are sold for sex, labor, and to much more awful ends.
