Have tolerance for them.
I haven't got an issue with service animals, none whatsoever. They are absolutely vital to people who need them. A seeing eye dog in a restaurant or other public place doesn't bother me in the slightest.
My issue is with people who have decided to designate their pets - frequently ill-behaved pets at that - as 'emotional support animals' and who think this gives them the right to be accommodated right alongside people who have legitimate service animals.
Sorry, but the notion that animals have the same rights as human beings is just wrong. 'Rights' are an exclusively human concern, and have nothing whatsoever to do with the rest of the animal kingdom. What humans have regarding animals is an obligation to treat them decently and humanely, but this is not the same as Snuffles the hamster having 'rights'.
If I am ever unfortunate enough to require a service animal, my fondest wish is that cyborg baboons will have been perfected by that time.
