Everything necessarily includes cancer; even a dimbulb such as yourself can surely see that.
To many faithful, terrible things like cancer are created by god as tests to see how closely they adhere to the tenets of that faith. They get rewarded either way - if they die, they go to heaven. If they survived, then god has something else planned for them since they obviously passed the test.
It's a simpleminded way to explain both bad, nonsensical things and why some people live through them and others don't. The kind of reasoning a child would employ because it's simple and always yields a happy answer, even in the face of suffering.
Like a lot of things in religion, it's merely empty talk dressed as wisdom aimed to take the attention away from the here and now.
