How powerful is god?

Ah, so god does know at this very moment, and for all of time, where I will be spending my eternal life.

Do I have or have I ever had the ability to change that destination?

You will always be able to choose God and the salvation that comes through Christ. Here's the question you should be asking, do I want to change the destination I was born to, all are born without salvation and that's something you can change.

I'm pretty sure I know what you're try to get at and you should look at this situation you think you can't change in this way, God knows your eternal destination and for all you know it's heaven.
