Italian is fun. Once when visiting an institute in barcelona, they absolutely refused to do the paperwirk in anything other than Catalan. They also don't like to be confused with castilian.
Yes they hate it, there's a reason those fellows want independence so much, my dad spoke both Castelhano (I don't know the word in English, but it's the mainstream spanish you hear on the media often) and Catalan, I didn't understand a single word of the later, it's really significantly different.
I had French classes to, but I just made up some words and luckily I always got an average grade, enough to pass.
