This is convenient for this particular brand of theist who justify their beliefs this way. It means that they never have to provide evidence for what they believe and so can believe what they like and say "foolish atheists requiring evidence and reason for their beliefs" and still feel superior despite having no reason to.
What if there were evidence for god, it was true and it was real!
These theists would have to reject this in order to stay faithful to their position!
That is the position they have put themselves in.
Quite the opposite.
Physical evidence of the non physical always loses to the logic hammer. Banging your head against the wall as a theist or an atheist isn't going to change that. You might become more stupid tho.
The logic still has to be defended. The evidence play is a cop out. No thinking required once you state that a chair is a chair is a chair.
