14 years of several forms of online debate and knowing our human history that religion does NOT bring peace to the world, never has, I really get more and more to the point of stating the obvious in simple terms.

Humans make up gods, that is all there is too it. It is a placebo humans make up and swallow because they are too frightened of the reality of their finite existence.
