Mine was the only non Amish family in the community I grew up in. Maybe that's why I like soft bread. Freshly baked bread should not crunch when you bite into it. Maybe a light crisp on the outermost layer but the middle should be soft and warm and lovely. Mmm. I'm so hungry now.
