Okay. Thanks for the explanation, Descel. I completely understand and agree that the 'God' character is the bad guy in the bible (particularly the OT). I'm more inclined to let fictional characters be fictional, myself, but I understand basing a philosophy on one, I suppose. Seems unnecessary to me, but we all handle things our own way.
