A very weak connection. The B theory of time states all of time already exist like all of space already exist. So person A can contiunously jump into a frame where person B never dies. Hence, person B lives "forever".
Imagine the original poster of this thread dancing. If all of time exists, the original poster will be dancing for as long as all of time exists. He doesn't need a multiverse to do this dance forever. He only needs a single universe that operates consistent with B theory of time.
"Now he has departed from this strange world a little ahead of me. That means nothing. People like us, who believe in physics, know that the distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion." - Albert Einstein in a letter of condolence to the Besso family.
Even though Michele Besso was dead, Albert Einstein was telling his widow that Michele wasn't really gone.....that physics leads us to believe that Michele's existence is eternal.
