I've always had good personal experiences with the police. I think that has more to do with being a white woman living in suburbia than anything else. I saw a couple incidents in downtown Portland when we lived there, that looked rather like the videos here, so I know it happens. It's not that I think all police behave like those in this thread, but rather that those who do, appear to get away with it, that bothers me. No one, police in particular, should be above the law.
