The Nutters Are Declining Rapidly

I've been following this a long time and it's definitely encouraging. I don't know how accurate the absolute numbers are but the trend is definitely going our way. I agree with Homeless Nutter that we could easily see a religious resurgence for any number of reasons but I think it will only be a speed bump if it happens. With the internet, there is unprecedented communication and sharing of ideas and thoughts and that environment is antithetical to religion. The religious right sure hasn't helped themselves either. They started getting negative media attention with the televangelist scandals of 1980s and it's continued on since then - lunatics like Fred Phelps, the pedophile priests, Islamic terrorism, etc.
