I can't see anything but white and gold even if I block out the bright back lighting, the entire background so I only see the dress and lace, block out most of the dress so I just see a little of it adjacent to the harsh back lighting...
With the photo presented as-is, the white is backlit so I see it with a blue cast, which also turns the gold trim/lace into a putrid sort of mustard color.
I followed a link at the top of the buzzfeed article and found some "color corrected" version, but I can still only see varying white and gold, no matter how it's color corrected.

I can only see the blue and black in the darkened color-correction photo in the link above if I really squint my eyes, but when I open them back up I go back to seeing white and gold, even if I block out the over-exposed background.
No matter what I do I only see an ugly white and gold dress in varying degrees of shitty lighting.
It might be a nicer dress if it were blue and black, but that's not what I see.
