Yeah, I've watched it some time ago. Werner Herzog is a great film maker and the whole series he did abut death row inmates is worth watching. What strikes me more about this guy than his obvious absence of any real motif to kill, is how normal his life had been up to that point.
If you can watch it, I would recommend the interview with George Rivas, leader of the Texas Seven, now executed. Rivas comes over as a soft spoken, intelligent guy. You never would expect someone like this to make a living out of robbing stores. Cause that's what he did.
