Regarding UK, and to some extent the rest of the western Europe, I think there is a cause to it. As I've heard, native white British are less than half the total population living in UK.

Took me one second typing "ethnicities UK" into gogle to debunk this. As of 2011, 87,1 percent of the british population were white. A whopping 3 percent are black and 0,1 percent gypsies.

And that's the same with most every country where the rightwingers try to fearmonger themselves into the Xenophobic hearts of the population.

I think race is irrelevant, what really matters is attitudes - I care more about culture than race. If you are a good citizen, you deserve to be a permanent resident. That being said, I think @Zenith is probably talking about the immigration sentiment in the EU because of massive immigration, adding up the fact that a lot of Brits don't want to be in the EU + Don't want to be a part of the ECHR (European Convention for Human Rights) because it limits their sovereignty (Example - They can't kick out immigrants); on the other hand, and this is something unpopular but true, there is almost no case in the world where an increase of immigration didn't increase criminality + violent criminality. This is true for almost every European country where open borders exist and there's countless studies on it. Obviously, this pisses of native residents and it would piss me off, luckily I live in a city with few immigrants so it's not something that concerns me
