What do you expect from a guy named Mr. Dollar? I know that he's not the only person to scam his followers, as it could be argued that all religion is a scam, but this guy genuinely thought his request would go over well with his congregation? I know he must be quite the spiritual leader, because his connection to reality is tenuous at best.
Jesus was against the wealthy. It doesn't get more anti wealth when you have a story about a guy being sent to hell because he had a good life in this world.
Also it's not millions of people. It's billions. As in, there are only around 2.5 billion christians in the world, and half of them wouldn't include the other half in the group of true believers. if you're protestant, and you don't think catholics are christians, that puts the population of christians at about 1.2 billion. The road to heaven is indeed narrow, because Yahweh never took any PR classes.
