True, but soylent cola was mentioned in the same episode 'slurm factory' as well as the fact that soylent green is a real thing in the future, according to the 30% iron chef episode. It was sort of a one-off gag, but it did establish that people are drank, as well as eaten, just as a dolphin that stupidly lost everything due to gambling debts.
If today you can take a thing like evolution and make it a crime to teach in the public schools, tomorrow you can make it a crime to teach it in the private schools and next year you can make it a crime to teach it to the hustings or in the church. At the next session you may ban books and the newspapers...
