I've only ever joined one theistic form: worthychristianforums. That place is a hole. They will let nonbelievers join so long as they are seeking to become Christian. Anything else, and you will be flat-out banned. They got creative on interpreting their ToS so they could give me a soft ban (I'm still a member, but I cannot post).
I've joined three different religious groups on Facebook. Two of them a bunch of Christian members would get quite rude and abusive in their posting. A few nice ones would engage civilly, but the majority of the posters just wouldn't join in on such threads. The third group is explicitly meant to be civil. It seems to be roughly a 50-50 split in theist/atheist posters. So far, the only rude one is Christian, although, it's an admittedly small sample size.
If you want to post in a religious forum, you need to do two thing:
1) Find a place that allows non-believers as part of their rules, and
2) don't take anything seriously. You will be accused of being a Darwinist who has no morals and believes that everything came from nothing. It gets kind of old when everyone thinks they're busting that out to you for the first time.
