Some personal notes:
- I oppose Holocaust denial laws but I can understand the historical need for France and Germany to promulgate those laws - Indeed, people are still afraid and all over Europe intelligence services are always watching to see how much the Neo-nazi far-right groups develop and grow. The ideal would be for everyone to freely be able to deny the Holocaust and consequently others would be free to ridicule such claim
- I think free speech means that you are free to criticize and ridicule ideas, beliefs and faith systems - Including religion. I agree that free speech being used to incite or suggest racial hatred and prejudice should be either frowned upon or banned and punishable with a fine or a low prison sentence. This includes Jews like said in the video but also blacks, whites and any other racial group
- If we exclude the persecution of Jews by the catholic church, which was mostly based on religious hatred for Judaism, most anti-Semitism (including Hitler's and contemporary National-Socialist groups) is based on ethnic, racial and cultural hatred - The hate for Jews has mostly nothing to do with religion but with conspiracy theories about people born Jewish controlling the world and owning the economy. Regardless of what you think of race and ethnicity, there are thousands of ethnic groups on earth, each with its own traditions, habits and physical distinguishable traits - People who hate Jews want them to die for being born Jewish, regardless of their affiliation with the religion of Judaism.
- The banned anti-Semitic cartoon from Charlie Hebdo wasn't banned for ridiculing Judaism but because it suggested cultural and ethno-racial profiling and dislike towards Jewish people.
- I think any comic that racially profiles Muslims as "arabs" and "brown" should not be allowed just like any other racially biased form of incitement to hate and prejudice
- That being said, most satires about Islam are not about arabs and races but about criticizing ideas and belief systems
- Charlie Hebdo has been criticized by the Catholic church and they've ridiculed Christianity as well - To think they like to pick on Muslims is ridiculous.

Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you
