As a theist, I'd say: "I'm in heaven! Yipppeeee!!! My child?... What child? Heaven, baby - yeah!!!" Then I'd go and snort some more coke off of virgin Mary's tits...
Besides - in heaven god can make perfect replicas of anybody's damned relatives, so the more sentimental among the saved ones never need to know...

Yup. When you're religious - even parental love is conditional. No surprises, since you follow a guy, ready to slaughter his child, simply because a voice in his head told him to.
