I hate that term "hard work", that is a load of bullshit. If "hard work" were the only goal for humans then why do we invent things? It is much harder to cross the country on foot or horse than it is to use a car. It is harder to cross the ocean on a ship with sails only than to fly accross it in a jet. It was harder to use the pony express than using e mail today.
There is a huge difference in an economy that exploits for profit that hurts workers stability, and productivity which is constructive. Work should be easy, not hard. When work is easy it is positive stress and allows more focus and productivity. The kind of "hard work" the top promotes is merely code for the real welfare queens corporate America which creates more instability for workers which thrives on cheap labor.
Japan has three classes and poor people too, what they do not have however is our pay gap and their education is far better.
