
Actually, regarding the 'problem of evil', polytheism answers it better than monotheism, since it makes more sense to explain the evils of the world with the personal whims of a series of deities each with their agendas, than with a benevolent, omnipotent and omniscient entity that is self-refuting with the existence of 'evil'. However, in light of the evidence all remains the same, there is no evidence of such pantheon to exist.
