DD,
I suggest you read your own source carefully before posting comments on them or else you will embrass yourself just like you have done.
The First site you have linked quoted from a same author listed in the second: Max D. Schlapp and Edward E. Smith . So lets just discuss the second website.
The first three sources of Atheist convicts are almost one humdred years old.
Not only does the age of the survey cast doubt,in addition, What was the proportion of Atheists one hundred years ago?
The last source quoted from a website which another atheist also logically pointed out that there is no source whatsoever for the site's data.
Given that so many us here have tried to find data supporting that Atheists have lower crime rates but failed to, we can only conclude that it is merely hogwash for now(Until someone finds something new).

I have yet to see an official report regarding the Atheism population in prison vs Christian population. Where is it?
http://www.atheistempire.com/reference/stats/main.html
The percentage of a prison population that identify as 'atheist' is a consistent 0.2%, regardless of which Western country you pick. Compare this to the 15% of the general population and, well, your theory crumbles like Spontaneous Generation.
