Every christian is a former atheist turned Bible believer, since you had to not believe first before believing. It's a non-nonsensical phrase. The implied meaning is that "you saw our side" and we were wrong! Nyah!
I am a non-smoker, and heve always been a non-smoker. I studied Pre-med in College before later changing majors but I did get a healthy interest in Anatomy and disease. So with my studies, I can give many terrific reasons that it is wrong to take up smoking. My arguments against smoking are vastly different than someone's who just thought it was stinky and made them cough. Similarly, as a Former christian, son of a loudmouth argumentative Southern Baptist preacher, and who has been interested in debunking all the lies that he heard all through his childhood by studying theology and ancient archeology, I am sure that I am a much different atheist than the one you claimed to have been.
You sound very secure in your beliefs. Have you ever studied the history of the medical profession in the united states? The battle of the allopathic vs. the imperical or homeopathic medicine? The A.M.A. under the influence of big business and the pharmaceutical industry. It wasn't so long ago that smoking was encouraged by the medical profession, was it? All doctors used to smoke.

Thanks. I think. I don't know which would be less flattering, to be deemed a troll or compared to someone called "drippy."

Thanks. I think most of Christian theology comes more from Socrates, Plato, Constantine, Milton and Dante, than the Bible, but I think I understand what you mean.

I suspect a sock.
Why a sock?

I would be interested in learning more about your past as an atheist. Did you consider yourself an atheist at the time, or only after you became a True Christian?
I most certainly did consider myself an atheist. Its a pretty simple concept, atheism, and I was it. I despised Christianity. In a sense, I still do, though I think most believers feel the same way. We despise all forms not in agreement with our own interpretation.
