It is fairer in the sense that everyone is treated equally, as I believe they should be. The rich are taxed by the same percentage as the poor. The rich end up giving more (just as with progressive tax), but in a proportional way.
I don't mind if you support progressive taxation for your own personal reasons, but please do not pretend it is in any way "equal" or "fair".
I'd also ask how you think shipping jobs overseas isn't creating jobs. Of course it is creating them...just because they aren't in your particular country doesn't mean they aren't being created. There are people in Bangladesh that are very thankful for the jobs they have.
