I didn't get to watch it, honestly not sure if anyone went down on the mat in the fight, but I doubt it. They both don't go down easy, I thought it would go to a decision because of that. Mayweather is an all around better boxer, that's how I made my decision. I've seen a few Paquiao fights. The Cotto one was on T.V. recently. I watched that, and I wasn't too impressed with Paquiao. I've seen some Mayweather fights. I thought the De La Hoya fight was an interesting one for Mayweather, but other than that, Mayweather just makes it look so easy.
I'll have to catch some of the highlights.
Pacquiao is a future hall of famer, make no mistake about that. His career is arguably much better than Mayweather's in terms of achievements and who he's fought.
The Cotto fight, Manny showed how he doesn't mind getting hit. Which isn't the greatest thing to display, but make no mistake he is still one of the greatest himself. Pac is probably the first fighter I've ever watched that made me go "woah" (okay Roy Jones Jr too), just from pure boxing ability. In the Cotto fight he wasn't anywhere near his best. Against De La Hoya was when I first saw him and he put on a boxing masterclass. He had footspeed, handspeed and just didn't stop punching. At his best he buzzes around you in and out so fast and furious he just overwhelms you.
In the MayPac fight we didn't see any of that. He looked a shell of his former self. In previous fights Pac would regularly throw 100 punches a round. He didn't throw anywhere near half of that for this fight.
To be fair, I think Pac man just didn't turn up, and that's what lead to it being such a boring, one sided fight. I knew from the first round what the result would be. Right from the off, Pacquiao just wasn't throwing enough punches. People I were watching it with were saying "it's only the first round, he's just getting warmed up", then before you know it it's the 5th, the 6th, the 7th... and he's only going to start throwing less from that point on.

I myself predicted he'd be the winner, so I'm glad to find out I wasn't wrong. Hehe.
Thing is, Pac didn't show the kind of aggression we're used to seeing.
Floyd, even still, isn't unbeatable. He was in serious trouble against Mosely. Against Castillo, he was basically beat. And everyone says "he's never been knocked down", Zab Judah knocked him down but it was ruled a slip. To me, he can still be beat. If the Pacquiao we were all expecting to have showed up, showed up, who knows, it could have been very different.
Mayweather is on about doing one last fight.
I hope he doesn't choose Kahn. I'm sick of hearing from Kahn how he is the first in line to fight Mayweather. Don't understand that conclusion at all. For starters, Kell Brook is the only other champ out there now, it should be a unification fight before that. Also, Kahn has just ducked fighting Kell for a WORLD TITLE to fight Chris fucking Algieri. But Kahn goes on about how Kell needs to fight world class opposition first? He's the fucking champion!
Also, Kahn shouldn't even be ahead of Danny Garcia, who knocked him the fuck out in the 4th, and who is still unbeaten himself.
So it will be interesting to see who he chooses. I hope he chooses Kell Brook. I don't quite know whether Kell has enough skill to even challenge Mayweather, but he can hit pretty hard and has a solid chin, so I think that would be a good fight.
