I didn't get to watch it, honestly not sure if anyone went down on the mat in the fight, but I doubt it. They both don't go down easy, I thought it would go to a decision because of that. Mayweather is an all around better boxer, that's how I made my decision. I've seen a few Paquiao fights. The Cotto one was on T.V. recently. I watched that, and I wasn't too impressed with Paquiao. I've seen some Mayweather fights. I thought the De La Hoya fight was an interesting one for Mayweather, but other than that, Mayweather just makes it look so easy.
I'll have to catch some of the highlights.
Pacquiao is a future hall of famer, make no mistake about that. His career is arguably much better than Mayweather's in terms of achievements and who he's fought.
The Cotto fight, Manny showed how he doesn't mind getting hit. Which isn't the greatest thing to display, but make no mistake he is still one of the greatest himself. Pac is probably the first fighter I've ever watched that made me go "woah" (okay Roy Jones Jr too), just from pure boxing ability.
I agree he is a future hall of famer, I feel he went downhill the last few years and Mayweather didn't. If they fought each other about 8-10 years ago, I feel it would have been a better fight. I agree about the "whoa" factor from Pacquiao, Roy Jones Jr, and Tyson. I loved watching Tyson demolish people in his younger days; that guy was a machine. I loved his approach; a full on attack lol. It seemed when he started having out of the ring trouble, his personality changed quite a bit, and I didn't like him as much. He seemed so disciplined, and had such great sportsmanship back then.
