Mixed feelings.
Twitter and Facebook are the realms of the masses. It's where you discuss Kim Kardashian's latest shoes - not anything that matters to anyone with a functioning brain.
That said, we (or at least some of us) hope to influence the masses.
It leaves a bad taste in my mouth but I suppose it serves a purpose. It would be nice to be able to turn it off but it's not obnoxious enough to get on my nerves. The chat room thing bothered me more until I found I could turn it off.
