I used to have a recurring dream about an old house. It wasn't run down or spooky or anything, in fact it seemed to be well cared for; merely unoccupied. The funny thing is the location would change from one dream to the next - I would go from exploring the house one time, to various parts of the grounds in subsequent dreams. Or I might be in a different part of the village, but always with this house in there somewhere even if it wasn't used as a location. The level of consistency always struck me that it might be a real place, though I'm sure I've never been there if it is. Then I happened to tell someone about it and it appears to have killed it, as I don't think I ever dreamed it again.
I'd love to go lucid and try to resurrect it.
