I'm gonna be flayed for this, but I get sick of hearing The Killers.
I used to love the Killers, and some songs I still do. But literally every. single. week. when we went out to our campus nightclub at uni, they'd play "Mr Brightside" just because they know it's a student anthem.
Girl, it's a cute song, a classic, but there are millions of others you could play for us on tonight. I'm gonna need you to stop being cheap, and expand your playlist.
Actually it wasn't the only one, you could guarantee N***as in Paris, Bon Jovi (Livin on a Prayer) and something from Nicki Minaj would come on every week too. And there was never any new stuff, that club was always late.
Why did I keep going to this club, you may ask? Because it's literally across the street from where I lived and it was convenient, and the clubs up in town were late too. Everything about these clubs in Stoke, the layout and interior design, late, the music, late, the fashions, late, the time it took to queue for a drink, a fool.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie
