The post to which I was responding seemed to be saying, in effect:

If God forgives you so easily for homosexuality, why bother preaching against it at all? IOW, if God can forgive the homosexual, why can't the rest of us just accept it and move on?

God can and does forgive ANY sin if we ask, but that does not mean that we should take those sins lightly. We would be better off having never committed them in the first place.

THAT's why preachers prattle on against them.
