The ONLY excuse good enough for God?

Ok! Here's your chance to answer the burning question (and hang yourselves in the process) that really matter's: What is the ONLY excuse that God (if there is one of course) would accept for sinning and related mayhem of humans?

Its a one word answer.... but you can, and will carry-on I'm sure!

Excuse?  I don't think Yewah ever accepted an excuse of any kind.   He either inflicts ridiculously over-blown punishment or forgives, either on a whim, or because of faith in god/Jesus and salvation.   This is a god, who thinks any sin is enough to warrant eternal hell and found it reasonable to have children mauled by bears for teasing an old man, or men struck down dead for attempting to keep his ark of the covenant from falling.   Prior to the Jesus resurrection myth, he liked blood sacrifice.  And his notion of sin usually had more to do with not showing him the kind of respect he wants rather than to do with treating others well.  These days he's into thought crimes.
