They can be outrageous. There was the pastor who when faced with the bald statement, "no thanks, I'm an atheist," had the nerve to ask if he could talk to the kids then. I asked if he had children and how old they were.
"Five and ten."
"You can talk to mine if I can talk to yours."
He didn't like that idea much. But it didn't appear to educate him as to why I might not invite him in to talk to mine.
