Of course you can believe those things. And you should!

But I just don't understand how you come to the definitive conclusion that something is sacred, that's all. But I fully believe that you can think so.
(So just to clarify, you believe that the life of a plant or that of a bird has as much dignity and sacredness as the life of a human being? If so, how do you reconcile pulling weeds to make your yard look nicer or killing a chicken so you can enjoy a tastier alternative to tofu?)
