It was a different time, Vic. You have to understand. And Jesus never said it was okay, so we don't know whether he was against child rape or not. The safe bet is to just assume that Jesus thought that marrying a 13 year old was bad but didn't want to upset the people of that time who loved them some young girls.
But of course now we know what Jesus really thought about arranged marriage, bride price, and child rape. And we get that from really studying the Bible down deep. Objectively, God knew it was always bad, but just neglected to make it clear until about 80 years ago. In the western world only.
