I don't think the MVP is classified as a mech. I think its considered a mod since it has regulating electronics involved to prevent malfunctions. A mech is pretty much a button wired to a giant battery; no safety mechanisms included. Also notable about a mech is the thicker gauge heating element wire and the drip tank delivery system, although I don't think these are what classifies it as a mech.
